Disarmament Camp June/July 1992 at Linkoping, Sweden The camp is organised by OMEGA - Forum for civil disobedience and nonviolence, and will run from the 13th June until at least 12th July. Training will be provided for all participants, who will operate in affinity and working groups, by consensus. Nonviolent activists all around the world are invited to the Disarmament Camp, to plan and carry out nonviolent acts of civil disobedience against the billion pound JAS project. JAS is a new fighter-plane being produced in Linkoping. The Swedish military hope that it will become a successful export. Planned disarmament actions include: * Direct 'Ploughshares' actions against the warplanes * 'De-fencing of the perimeter fence * Dismantling of production machines * Dancing and partying on the runway * Planting vegetables and flowers around and inside the factory area * Painting the warplanes * Leafletting the workers * Organising discussions and public meetings, etc. All actions will be nonviolent and dialogue-searching. There will be self-defence trainings for women concerned with diminishing violence. We are planning an extensive program of various workshops and cultural events.
