Dear Senator Woodley,

Still no date for the bankruptcy hearing (no news is good news). I have just written the following letters to John Fahey (Minister of Finance) and David Butler (Deputy Commissioner of Taxation) regarding the option of waiving my so-called debt to the commonwealth. I would be very grateful if you would write to at least David Butler in support of this latest request. Please send me a copy of any letter you send.

I really don't hold much hope. And it is not the ultimate solution that we want, although it would be a useful precedent. But I think it has to be seen to have been tried.

Regards,
